Welcome to Oak Class Page
This is the final class on your child's primary school learning journey in Oak Class we aim for each child to achieve their full potential whilst also making this a memorable and fun year. Mr Nailor and Mrs Adams, with support from Mrs Thompson work together to ensure your child reaches their full potential at primary school, and support pupils with a smooth transition into their secondary school places.
We aim to give pupils the confidence to demonstrate their knowledge in test conditions such as the SAT's assessments whilst also ensuring a board and balanced curriculum is covered. In the Summer Term children participate in an enterprise project which develops entrepreneurial skills. They also take part in a residential trip to PGL - Isle of Wight - involving a number of outdoor pursuit activities .
In Year 6 all pupils are given various roles of responsibility across the school - the favourite being buddied with reception or year one children.

KIRFS (Key Instant Recall Facts) for Mathematics
Please find attached the KIRFS (Key Instant Recall Facts) for Year 5 and 6 this half term. The aim is to provide simple homework for maths which works towards children becoming fluent in the objectives. Homework may be repetitive, but that is part of the process to become fluent; we must practise.
